Perks of a Home Studio!

A young visitor in the Studio!

Some of my favorite moments in the Studio are the unexpected visits – especially when my grandchildren pop in, curious to see what’s taking shape on the easel.

Future Artist!

My Grandson was showing talent as soon as he could hold a pencil. At age 3 he was asking me to print him out referrence photos!

Children are always paying attention!

On our usual toy shopping spree, with $5 in their pockets, this adorable girl ran straight to a toy guitar. Little did I know, when we arrived back at the studio – I discovered why she chose it!

Portrait Progression

Old photos! My favorites!

There is nothing more satisfying to me than restoring color and vibrancy and to bring life to an old B&W photo.

Bringing out that rugged character.

With each carefully added layer this country music legend begins to take shape – building the soul of the finished piece.

The final piece.

A portrait should ultimatly leave the viewer with a deep appreciation of the person. It becomes more than just an image. It becomes an emotion – a story. In this case, a hard life of fame and fortune in which he also wrote into his music.
